Phone Number Validator & E.164 Formatter

Validate a list against its country numbering plan and normalize every surviving row to E.164 — with counts for valid, invalid and duplicate rows.

Paste numbers one per line — international, national or bare — pick the country, and Validate. Everything runs in your browser; the list never leaves your machine.

This is format validation: dial code, trunk prefix and national number length. A row can be perfectly formatted and still be a disconnected line — detecting dead numbers takes a live check, which no offline tool can do.

Format-valid does not mean in service. The Dead Number Check runs your cleaned list against live signals and flags disconnected numbers.

Run a Dead Number Check

How it works

  1. Paste your list, or upload a .txt or .csv file (for CSV rows the first column is used).
  2. Pick the country the list belongs to — one country per list, the same contract bulk checkers use.
  3. Validate. Each row is read as international, trunk-national or bare-national and normalized to E.164 — entirely in your browser.
  4. Download the normalized list, one E.164 number per line.

Why this matters

Bulk systems price per row and expect one country per file. Mixed national formats are ambiguous — the same leading digits mean different things under different trunk rules — and malformed rows are wasted spend. Normalizing to E.164 first removes both problems.

The validation rules here mirror what the psyke app applies at upload time, so a list that passes here reads the same way when you submit it for a real check.

FAQ

What exactly does the validator check?

Each row is interpreted three ways in order — international (starts with the country dial code), national with trunk prefix, then bare national number — and the first interpretation whose digit count fits the country plan wins. The row is then rewritten as E.164.

Why do I have to pick one country for the whole list?

Trunk rules differ per country: the same leading digits can be a valid national number in one plan and garbage in another. Reading a mixed list without a country anchor would silently misassign rows, so — like bulk checkers — this tool works one country at a time.

Is my list uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing, validation and normalization run in your browser; the file never leaves your machine.

A number passed validation — is it active?

Not necessarily. Format-valid means the digits fit the country plan, nothing more. Whether the line is in service or holds a platform account is live information — that is what the paid bulk checks answer.
