Phone Number Lookup — Country & Format
Paste one international number to see its country (from the dial code), its E.164 form, and — where the plan is pinned — whether the national length is plausible.
Paste a number in international format — we'll show the country, the normalized E.164 form, and whether the length fits that country's dial plan.
Offline, a number reveals its country (dial code — shared codes list every candidate) and, for pinned plans, whether its national length fits. It does not reveal its carrier or line type: number portability means any offline prefix table mislabels ported numbers, so this tool refuses to guess. Real carrier data comes from the live bulk Carrier Lookup.
Carrier and line type are live network facts, not offline ones. The bulk Carrier Lookup resolves them per number, for your whole list.
Run the bulk Carrier LookupHow it works
- Enter one number in international form — starting with + or 00, or bare digits including the country code.
- Look up. The longest dial-code match wins; countries sharing a code are all listed rather than guessed between.
- Read the result: country candidates, E.164 form, and a national-length check where the plan is pinned.
- Need the carrier? That requires live network data — take your list to the bulk Carrier Lookup.
Why this matters
The dial code is the one thing a phone number states about itself, and it is enough to route a mixed pile of numbers into per-country buckets before validation or bulk checking.
Carrier identity is different: numbers keep their prefix when they move carriers, so offline prefix tables rot silently. A tool that names a carrier without live data is guessing — this one draws the line instead and hands the live part to the bulk engine.
FAQ
Why do I get several countries for one number?
Some calling codes are shared — +1 covers North America and +7 covers Russia and Kazakhstan. Where a territory has a longer distinct prefix on file we match it first; otherwise every candidate is listed, because picking one would be a guess.
Why does it not show the carrier?
Number portability: a number keeps its prefix when its owner switches carriers, so a static prefix-to-carrier table mislabels exactly the numbers that moved. Real carrier resolution needs live network data — that is what the bulk Carrier Lookup does.
What does the length verdict mean?
For countries whose national number length we pin exactly, the tool says whether the national part of your number fits that range. For other countries it withholds the verdict instead of silently applying a loose default.
Can I look up a whole list?
This page is single-number. For lists, the bulk Carrier Lookup processes a file and returns a per-number report.
