WhatsApp and Telegram Checking APIs: How to Choose a Bulk Service
Updated:
Choosing a WhatsApp number checker API or Telegram number checker API starts with the job your application must finish. A small request that needs an immediate answer and a large list that can wait for a downloadable report require different purchasing criteria. Compare the response model, service outputs and billable input before comparing the advertised price.
Match the API to your batch and response needs
Ask whether your application needs a response for each incoming number or can submit a prepared file and collect the result later. Establish the smallest useful batch, how completion is communicated, and who will reconcile the returned file. These requirements determine whether a supplier fits your workflow; a per-number rate alone cannot answer them.
PSYKE’s reseller API uses asynchronous file orders. It suits a workflow that can track an order until completion and then download its report. The minimum is 2,000 valid unique numbers after normalization. Do not select this model for a single-number instant-answer requirement or assume an advertised processing deadline. For recurring input, define the customer segments in each batch before automating submission. The owned-contact segmentation guide covers that audience decision.
| Buyer requirement | What to verify | PSYKE documented fit |
|---|---|---|
| Response model | Immediate answer or completed batch report | Asynchronous file order with a downloadable result |
| Order size | Minimum accepted quantity | At least 2,000 valid unique normalized numbers |
| Price basis | Which input is charged | Accepted valid deduplicated input × API service rate |
| File contract | Input format and result format | Plain UTF-8 text input; CSV/TSV result |

Choose the platform result, not just an endpoint
WhatsApp registration checking and activity-related checking are separate PSYKE services. Choose the signal your application needs rather than assuming every WhatsApp check returns both. The main Telegram service combines registration and activity-related output; a separate registration-only Telegram service is not offered. Profile-related age and gender services are another choice, with fields that may be unavailable and are not independently verified personal attributes.
Use the WhatsApp services and Telegram services pages to understand these result categories. Registration or activity does not establish current online presence, message delivery or a reply.
Compare the billable quantity and total cost
Make suppliers quote the same result type and explain which numbers incur a charge. PSYKE API billing uses the accepted valid deduplicated input count multiplied by the selected service’s unit rate. It is not a positive-match-only price: a list containing fewer matching accounts does not by itself explain a credit or refund. Use the order and wallet records for the actual transaction.
Review the current API service catalog for the relevant rate. API and web tariffs differ, so a web price is not an API quote. Separate the minimum batch requirement from the amount needed to fund the prepaid wallet.
Check the input and output contract before buying
For the reseller API, prepare a plain UTF-8 text file with one phone number per line and select the service and country. This is a different contract from the website’s CSV first-field processing: do not send a multi-column customer CSV and expect the API to extract its phone column. Confirm the API’s file limit when sizing a batch, and use its available-country catalog rather than guessing country identifiers.
The API result is a CSV/TSV file, not a promise of an Excel workbook. Ask which fields belong to the selected service and how missing values are represented. Keep your internal mapping and match results by number rather than assuming the original row order survives.
Decide whether PSYKE fits your integration
Choose the API when your application will repeatedly submit qualifying single-country batches, track their completion and consume the resulting files. Budget for both the service charge and that integration work. If an operator only needs to upload and review a list occasionally, the web workflow may be the simpler purchase.
The general WhatsApp checker guide covers broader service selection. For API procurement, first confirm the required result, accepted batch and tariff; then use the API documentation for implementation details. Start with those requirements rather than a claim that one checking tool is best for every list.

Frequently asked questions
Can PSYKE return an immediate answer for one number?
Its reseller API is an asynchronous file-order workflow with a minimum of 2,000 valid unique normalized numbers. It is not a single-number instant-answer service.
Can I use a web price to estimate the API bill?
No. Web and reseller API rates differ. Use the current API service rate and accepted billable input count, then check the order amount and wallet record.
Can the API take the same multi-column CSV as the website?
No. The reseller API expects plain UTF-8 text with one phone number per line. The website’s CSV first-field parsing is a separate web-upload feature.
